World of Aircraft uses a dedicated graphics and physics engine to simulate small aviation. Each edition focuses on one specific kind of aviation and will always contain the area, airport(s), and aircraft you need to explore that kind of aviation. Because it does not want to cover all the world and all kinds of aviation you get more detail for the parts that are in the simulation when compared with full-blown simulators.

FlightGear is an open-source free flight simulator project with over 20,000 real-world airports and a wide variety of aircraft models. The platform is constantly praised for its realism, overall flight controls, and even minute details such as lighting.
Condorsoaring is the best glider simulator. The weather is created for gliding with slope, thermals and waves. There are a lot of glider models available, old gliders, modern gliders. Flights Multiplayer races are very exciting and the flights are very realistic.
Welcome to Fly Away Simulation - your trusted and well-known flight simulator portal that's been in the industry for over 20 years. Launched in 1999 as a flight sim enthusiasts portal providing downloads and add-ons. Now trusted by over 200,000+ PRO subscribers and over 500,000 new visitors visiting our website each month. Featuring news, reviews, add-ons and discussion on all of the latest flight sim releases for all of the platforms we cover.
Before you are able to become a virtual aviator, you need a package for your PC or Mac. We feature some great free flight simulator packages that users may download including X-Plane, FlightGear, and Orbiter. However, for a true simulation experience with maximum features and expansion options, we currently recommend Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition or X-Plane (the latest is version 11) from Laminar Research; both can be purchased from our store, SimShack with worldwide delivery.
Out of the box, over 20 aircraft are included and highly detailed world scenery with thousands of airports and airfields. You can read our review here and of course, download a demo from our file library here.
Just Soaring Glider Sim Pro Flight Simulator is what you need to get off the ground (so to speak) with a simulator system built from the ground up for a soaring pilot. With features you'll only find in a glider and only in our Glider Sim Rig, you will enjoy a realistic a soaring experience even while on the ground!
We designed Condor to give pilots the complete experience of soaring on their PC. The key to this experience is the feeling of immersion in the environment. Precise aerodynamics and weather physics drive the ongoing development. The Condor simulator with state of the art graphics, real time control feedback, and cockpit sounds immerses you, the pilot, in the experience and is the closest you can come to flying a glider without ever leaving the ground.
If you want a simulator that is the most realistic, or one that provides the most unique maps (some companies are working towards allowing simulator pilots to see the entire world via their sim), you may need a lot of memory on your computer.
Here is the list of best free flight simulator games for PC. These airplane simulator let you simulate flight under realistic conditions. You will get to fly commercial aircraft, fighter planes, RC planes, gliders, helicopters, drones, and more. Moreover, you get to simulate flights around various parts of the World, inbuilt maps, or even on maps designed by you. Some of these simulators just let you fly freely, some will let you take off and land airplanes, while some will take you right into action in a battlefield.
PicaSim is a free flight simulator game for RC aircraft. It lets you simulate flight of gliders and other radio controller aircraft on your PC. It is also available on Android and iOS devices. There are many selection options for Planes and Scenery to simulate flights available in this game. You can even create your own plane, redesign a plane, or modify Skyscape according to your choice.
CRRCSim is a free and open source flight simulator software for PC. Its another simulator for gliders and RC planes that you can look into for realistic flight simulation. It is multi platform and can be run on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Although there are limited locations for simulation, you will find a good list of planes, including a helicopter and a drone.
Due to its complex amount of topographical, scenery and object data, Flight Simulator requires a certain speed of Internet connection for seamless gameplay. Windows Central states that a nimimum of 5 Mbit/s is required, with at least 20 Mbit/s recommended and 50 Mbit/s being ideal.[11] Flight Simulator has an offline mode, which uses the latest pre-cached data saved to the local hard drive.[12] Two caches exist, a rolling cache (controlled automatically by the simulator) and a manual cache (which can be set by the user). The rolling cache is written to when the user goes to flight mode, caching the local objects and scenery, and updates as the pilot flies around the virtual world. The user sets the manual cache locations and amount of detail to be stored, and the user can determine the storage sizes used in both methods - as well as turn them off if required.[8]
The addition of third-party aircraft and airports are also supported within the simulator, as are additions of other services. Virtual Air Traffic Simulation Network (VATSIM) and the International Virtual Aviation Organisation (IVAO) are examples of online flight-simulation networks supported within Flight Simulator since release[15][16] that allow pilots to talk to human air traffic controllers (instead of the AI ones) and to each other where there is no ATC coverage. These services add to the realism of flight simulators, and VATSIM was even used in 2008 to test proposed real-world changes to ATC before implementation.[17] Many of the third-party add-ons are repaints or exclusive liveries.[18] In addition, there are other add-ons (mods) for things such as recording flights, and a weather mod designed by Weather Preset Pro. The Microsoft team has said that they "welcome [all third party developers] onboard," and that they are "critically important".[19] To simplify things, an in-game marketplace was created on the game's website featuring a variety of third-party content.[20] This also includes the stock world updates, and some third-party mods such as A32NX by FlyByWire Simulations for the Airbus A320neo control systems.[21] The team is also committed to introducing new paid downloadable content (DLC) every "two or three months".[22]
Microsoft Flight Simulator uses its in-house graphics and physics engine while using Microsoft Azure to provide over two petabytes of world map data taken from the cloud on demand.[24] Microsoft partnered with Blackshark.ai,[25] who developed a solution that uses Microsoft Azure and AI to analyze map data and photogrammetry to generate photorealistic 3D models of buildings, trees, terrain, and so on. This allows the simulator to depict parts of the world in 3D photorealism, and others in high definition.[26] Flight Simulator generates its terrain and scenery objects initially from satellite imagery or fly-by image scans.[27] Due to distortion from the fly-bys, color correction and shadow removal were essential.[28] An "offline procedural generation AI" uses those and the data from Bing Maps to generate the scenery and objects for the virtual world. This can be enhanced using human intervention to assemble photorealistic objects and scenery for even higher levels of realism.[27] 041b061a72
